The Commissioner's Corner - Joey Neutrelle

Joey what has your time in the FHL been like since you joined in the eek 5 waiver draft? Its been great. I have a very supporting team that loves to win and I got to meet some of the other goalies like Rick Severa and Jim Besterci that give me tips on what to do when times get tough. You currently lead the league with a 0.54 goals against average, unprecedented numbers for a rookie. What has been the key to your success? Just to watch my angles and be aware of who is in front of the net at all times so I can tell one of my defenders to cover them. You are one of the youngest players in the league. Is it intimidating at times facing grown men? Not really. A lot of them have a hard shot but I knew what I was getting into when I signed up for the FHL. The Crosbys have been on a hot streak since you stepped between the pipes (6 wins in a row). Who on the team has been the biggest help in your development? Jim Johnston has helped me a lot blocking so many shots that could have gone in but every person on the Crosbys helps me on my success. The Crosbys have not won a playoff game in 3 years. Do you think you guys have what it takes to make a serious run this year? With our killer offense and strong defense we have what it takes to go all the way. Favorite FHL player to watch? Jason Kortz Favorite NHL player? Geno Current FHL MVP? Tony Bonacorso Best FHL goalie? Jim Besterci Favorite sport other than hockey? I love the Pirates so baseball Most underrated player in the FHL? Sean Lyons. He is a great defender and not afraid to block a shot. Toughest player to face in a shooutout? Chad Kanz. He rocked a shot through my 5 hole when I faced him last.
