2011-12 FHL Draft Order Announced

Officially announced as for the FHL during the 2011-12 season is the addition of each of the six teams to have their own goalie. This will be the first time in FHL History this will happen. The Six Goalies are as followed: Jim Besterci Dave Gilson Dave Kwolek Marty Terrick Rick Severa Craig Hixon Each of these goaltenders will be entered into the draft, and will now play for strictly one team. As for the order of the FHL Draft, that was also determined at the Awards Ceremony. Here are the results: 1. Crosby's - (C) John George 2. Moose - (C) Zack Siniawski 3. Thunder - (C) Andrew McDonald 4. Whalers - (C) Joe Rogers 5. Jets - (C) Zak Campbell 6. Bishop Boyle - (C) Brian Grise

Joe Rogers Named 6th Captain

After the Kings lost to the Jets in Round One of the FHL Playoffs, Captain Jamie Zelena announced his resignation as Captain of the Kings, leaving the league with just five teams. The FHL Front Office has chosen Joe Rogers as the new captain for the sixth team. Rogers, a three-time Good Guy Award winner, and longtime defenseman for each Bishop Boyle, Crosby's, and Pirates, will hope for success in leading a team during the long, grueling FHL season. Rogers has officially announced that the team will be sponsored by Pisci's, a bar in the Munhall area, and they will be called the Whalers. Here is the Whalers logo:

Pirates Change Name to Thunder

At the end of the season, the Pirates announced that they will re-brand. They changed the team name and the color they will wear.
At the Awards Ceremony tonight, captain Andrew McDonald announced that the new team name will be Thunder and they will wear black. Here is the logo: * All award winners will be posted soon.
