Commissioner's Corner - Ben Bobick
So Ben, you were recently traded from Bishop Boyle to the Kings. How has the transistion been?
Well you know sometimes its tough to adapt when you get traded but last year i was traded from the Hawks to the Crosby's and it was definitely the best thing for me so i'm looking to contribute to a deep run in the playoffs with the Kings organization
Last year you finished 2nd in the R.O.Y. awards ballot. Your on pace for a slightly better season statistically. Are you happy with your performance thus far?
I was happy how things got started with the Lancers being on the first line with Mr. Brian Grise but things have been a bit slow lately and i'm looking to heat up with the new squad for the postseason
You guys are currently in last place but have shown some flashes of success recently. Can the Kings shock the world and make a run for the cup? And what other teams pose the biggest threat?
Our team as been showing great chemistry as of late and our goal is to take it one game at a time but a deep run is without a doubt in our plans and the two teams that stand out to me is probably the moose with there talent and definitely the jets with the championship mindset they bring to the ice every week
There have been some rumors that if a captain slot were to open up after this season that you would be a leading canidate for the job. What are your thoughts on this?
I have learned a lot the past two seasons playing in the league and have met a lot of new people and i think i can mentally prepare myself for an opportunity like that and it could really raise my game to the next level and i feel that i can put together a team that can really compete in this league
