Jets (2-1, 6-5) vs. Bishop Boyle (2-1, 7-6)
The Jets need no more motivation to win this week than to look at Week Two's box score between them and the Bishop Boyle Lancers. In that series, the Lancers swept the Jets, holding them to just one goal all series. On the other side, Boyle is coming off of a tough, frustrating week, in which they did not score a single goal. Brian Grise, Nick Siniawski, and company will need to do exactly what they did in the previous series vs. the Jets - shut down league leading goal scorer Brian Barca and his teammates Josh McIntyre and Jason Kortz. The Jets defensive unit of Jason Tatrai, Bill Seaman, and Zak Campbell will have to keep Boyle off the board. This game will come down to defense, and whoever plays better defense will win this game.
Cristallini Prediction : Jets win series 3-2.

Crosby's (2-1, 7-6) vs. Pirates (1-2, 4-8)
The Crosby's are enjoying a great start to the 2009-10 campaign just as much as the Pirates aren't. The Pirates come off a aggravating loss in a sweep vs. the Kings. At the bottom of the league, the Pirates will continue to look to the likes of Tony Bonacorso for offense. With Mark Zelena out, the Pirates defensive unit of Buddy Doyle, Joe Rogers, and Brian Hreha will look to shut down the Crosby's Zack Wahal and Roy McDonald, who have combined for 9 goals this season. The Crosby's are coming off of their first loss of the season, in a battle with the Jets. This matinee match-up is expected to be a high scoring affair with many talented offensive players on each side.
Cristallini Prediction : Pirates win series 3-2.

The battling Kings have two losses, but both went to a fifth game. In their lone win against the Pirates, three games is all it took. It's not their franchise player, Adam Cristallini, nor their first round pick, Matt Wierchowski. However, the combined team effort, and the emergence of line mates Joe Sims, the rookies with a goal and three assists, and Ryan Stottlemeyer, who has four goals. On the other side, the 2-1 Moose will once again be without captain Zack Siniawski, who re-injured his lower body injury in a win against Boyle last week. Without Siniawski and possibly Mark Fetsko, who has yet to play, players such as Jeff Rogers, Matt Gori, and Justin Haddad have been playing great this season, with nine goals between the three. The Moose defeated the Kings in week one, but will we see much of the same, or will the Kings pull off another tough victory?
Cristallini Prediction : Moose win series 3-2.
Weather Report

Just like last week, expect some snow showers. The high is 18 degrees, but it will feel like the temperature is in the single digits.
