2009-10 FHL Preview - Franchise Players
Nick Siniawski – Career: 29G 34A 63P
Nick Siniawski, the one-time Pirate and Crosby, has been searching for a home for his entire FHL Career. Finally, the younger version of the Siniawski's has one, and it's with the Bishop Boyle Lancers. Gritty is one word to describe the guy, and he certainly fits the style of his squad. Grise, the captain of Boyle, traded for Siniawski last year, and the team played well, which led to Grise making the franchise decision. Siniawski needs to continue his gritty offensive game and keep burying pucks in the back of the net for Boyle to contend this season.
When anyone in the FHL thinks of Roy McDonald, they think scoring. McDonald
may have the best shot in the league. He scored a league best 36 goals last season, and has 50 on his one and a half year career, after being picked up by the Crosby's back in the 2007-08 mid season waiver draft. A Crosby for life, McDonald is an early MVP Candidate. But, without Matt Wierchowski, can McDonald continue to put up the goal scoring numbers?
Brian Barca – Career: 66G 51A 117P
Brian Barca is the reigning FHL MVP. The current active leader in all-time points, Barca is easily one of the best players in the league. Barca is a winner, as shown with three rings already on his hand - two of which were with the Jets. Look for Barca to continue to score, set his teammates up, and expect his name at the top of the league in points once again this year. After losing friends and teammates from the previous two years, will Barca be able to put up his normal numbers and lead the Jets to another Championship?
Jeff Rogers – Career: 30G 49A 79P
Jeff Rogers finally has found his home wearing green and playing for the Moose. A good friend of captain Siniawski, Rogers will lead the Moose defense. Second only to Brian Barca in career assists and fourth all time in points, Rogers has a large role on this expansion team. Can the one time Defensive Player of the Year regain his old form after a down year? He'll have to be able to score from the point, play solid defense, and continue to rack up the assists for the Moose to contend this season.

Adam Cristallini – Career: 22G 20A 42P

Adam Cristallini was brought over by the Kings in a post-draft deal back before
the 2008-09 season started. Cristallini had a great year playing, and after the mid-season trade, playing alongside Chad Kanz helped him out. The southpaw was named Kings franchise player after the hall-of-famer, Kanz, retired. Cristallini has a new role on this team, and its leadership along with an increased role in the scoring department. Cristallini needs to bury the puck into the back of the net for his team reign as the the FHL's king at the season.

Tony Bonacorso – Career: 28G 21A 49P

Last Year, Tony Bonacorso came into the league, and took it by storm. Although
many expected a higher goal and point total from the one time Arizona State and USA ice hockey player, he finished the season fourth in goals, and fourth in points. The Italian Stallion, another early season MVP candidate, has high hopes from the to emerge as the best goal scorer in the league. Bono will be playing with many familiar faces from his team that went to the championship last year, as well as a few new ones, and for his team to make it back to the dance, he needs to put this team on his back like he did just one year ago.
